Position: Juniper Engineer
Location: San Diego, CA
Duration: 6+ month contract
Visa: GC or USC only
Our client has an opportunity available for a senior level Juniper Engineer in San Diego, CA. This position will be focused on assisting our customer during critical data center migration activities, as well as network wide refresh (migrating from older QFabric to new QFX gear).
Responsibilities:
· Working with QFX and EX series switches, MX series routers. SRX is a bonus.
· Creating Templates for configurations
· Pushing configurations
· Executing changes to bring on and retire gear
· Server swings
· Verification of applications
Required experience:
· Must 7+ years of significant Juniper engineering experience in a data center environment
· Data center migration experience
· Understanding of how to have a VLAN extended to two different physical locations as not all migrations can be completed during a single maintenance windows
· Experience with Spine-Leaf architecture, OSPF and BGP protocols, as well as WAN and MPLS
· Hands-on experience with creating network design documents
