Position:        Ruby Developer

Duration:     8+ months

Location:       Richfield, MN

 

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

MUST HAVE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

•        5 + Years Ruby Developer Experience

•        PURE Ruby experience - Experience with Gem

•        Experience with Design Patterns

•        Client Server Communication

•        Object Oriented Programming

•        Continuous Integration

•        Experience Queuing Technologies

•        Deployment Automation

 

SKILL/EXPERIENCE:

•        Strong favors TDD and BDD development methodologies

•        OpenStack – Bonus

•        AWS or other Cloud Providers - Bonus

•        Large Enterprise experience - preferred

•        Ability to offer ideas on technical direction

•        Desire to contribute to overall direction of project

•        Self-directed and shared collective ownership for design decisions

•        Comfortable in a pair programming environment

•        Up to date with current tools and techniques

•        Comfortable working in an Agile environment

•        Comfortable working in an Apple MacBook development environment

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

•        Heads down developing

•        Work in Paired Programming Environment

•        Unit testing

•        Quality Assurance of unit testing

•        Deployments

•        Work with infrastructure provisioning tools such as Chef and Vagrant

•        Work with client/server models and queuing technologies (rabbitmq, redis, etc)

•        Collaboratively work with, reporting to, and taking direction from current Ruby Developer
