Android and iOS experience and Objective C
Brief Description:
This role will be responsible for multiple aspects of the architecture, ongoing development, and technical integration for mobile initiatives; mobile application development for iOS and Android; and, will ensure that technologies that are incorporated into mobile applications are implemented in a way as to ensure that the user experience is optimized while product stability, security, and performance are maintained.
Day to Day Accountabilities:
▪ Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle, application design, testing and deployment for mobile applications.
▪ Conducts POC level development and tests to demonstrate and highlight emerging mobile technologies.
▪ Work with 3rd party application developer to provide information and architecture influence during key project phases.
▪ Evaluate and integrate orchestration services with 3rd party API’s
▪ Develops standards and processes for on boarding 3rd party API’s
▪ Identifies risks and issue related to design and drives the mitigation of risks.
▪ Partners with assigned development resources from 3rd party development teams during implementation.
Management Accountabilities:
▪ Assists the team manager in the scoping of projects.
▪ Able to coordinate and lead cross functional, 3rd party, and offshore development resources.
Connectivity and Key Interfaces:
▪ Sr. Manager, Retail and Mobile technology (and team)
▪ Sr. Manager, Digital Marketing
▪ IT, Project Management Office
Education/Experience:
▪ Bachelor’s degree with a computer science focus
▪ 5 years of progressive related experience within an IT department
▪ 3 years working on core systems and related technologies.
▪ Relevant professional training or certifications
Competencies:
▪ Strong knowledge of iOS software development
▪ Experience in mobile release management for iOS and Android
▪ Experience with apple pay and android pay
▪ Experience consuming 3rd party SDK’s in mobile applications
▪ Understanding of mobile backend web services
▪ REST web service design principals.
▪ Experience in consumer facing applications
▪ Strong Linux skills
▪ Strong written and verbal communications skills
▪ Preferred – Android development experience
▪ Preferred – experience with continuous integration, automated testing and release.
