Position: IOS Developer

Location: Denver, CO

Duration: Long term

VISA Status: No Constraints

Pay Rate: $Open/hr

 

Position Description:

 

Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform on iPads

Collaborate with cross-functional teams tdefine, design, and ship new features.

Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.

Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.

Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies tmaximize development efficiency.

 

Requirements:

 

IOS:

 

3+ years of iOS experience with one or more complex apps that deal with server communication, location aware applications a plus.

Strong knowledge of the iOS SDK, Objective C, C++, and Xcode IDE

 

Software Development:

 

6+ years programming in a strongly-typed object-oriented language (C++, Java, Objective-C)

Experienced with Object Oriented Programming, Design Patterns, Multi-threaded applications. Strong understanding of MVC.

Familiarity in STL, Boost

Experience with automated testing and test driven development, Experience writing unit tests and testable code.

Full SDLC experience, including release toperations and production

Strong skills in performance debugging and benchmarking.

 

Tools: Experience in source code version control, release builds, configuration management, collaborative requirements and workflow management tools.

 

Team:

 

Working knowledge of both waterfall and Agile development methodologies

Strong product focus. We expect everyone to do what is needed for the best product ever for our customers.

Strong communicator - must be able to interact with product managers, designers, and other non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working with a distributed team - while most engineers are located in Portland, Oregon, the rest of the team is scattered across the United States

 

General:

 

It is desirable, but not mandatory, that this candidate have some aviation industry background such as pilot training, aviation engineering, or aviation related experience.
