Job Title : Big Data Developer (Mongo & Postgres)
Location : McLean, VA
Duration : 6 Months with Possible Extensions.
DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
· As a Senior Developer, you are responsible for development, support, maintenance and implementation of a complex project module.
· You should have good experience in application of standard software development principles. You should be able to work as an independent team member, capable of applying judgment to plan and execute your tasks.
· You should have in-depth knowledge of at least one development technology/ programming language.
· You should be able to respond to technical queries / requests from team members and customers.
· You should be able to coach, guide and mentor junior members in the team.
· "Big Data - Conversant with caching, scalability, load balancing and performance tuning aspects. Experience with ETL (Extract-Transform-Load) tools(e.g. Informatica, Talend, Pentaho)
· Experience with BI tools and reporting software (e.g. Cognos,) Experience with analytical tools, languages, or libraries (e.g. SAS, Mahout) Hands-on experience with productionalizing"" Hadoop applications (e.g. administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning)
· Previous experience with high-scale or distributed RDBMS (Teradata, Netezza, Greenplum etc.)
· Knowledge of cloud computing infrastructure (e.g. Amazon Web Services EC2, Elastic MapReduce) and considerations for scalable, distributed systems Knowledge of NoSQL platforms(e.g. key-value stores, graph databases, RDF triple stores)" "
