Position: Oracle Configurator

Location: Columbus, OH

Duration: Long Term

VISA: No Constraints

Rate: $Open/hr on C2C

Education & Experience:

 

• Bachelors or Master’s degree. Engineering Background is preferred.
• 8-12 years of Oracle Apps experience.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Oracle Configurator, Inventory, Quoting, Shipping and Bill of Materials.
• Minimum 4 years’ experience in Java development
• Developed the Configurator models with customized UI and Configurator extension rules
• Strong knowledge of Oracle Configurator Extensions and associated APIs.
• Importing items from BOM to Configurator, building model setups, defining the rules and customization User Interface in Configurator.
• Creating and binding Configurator extension rules
• Debugging of Configurator model issues

 

Skills:

 

• Participated in at least 2 full life cycle Oracle implementation projects from Planning through Go Live
• Exceptional track record of building relationships with business stakeholders that have resulted in high customer satisfaction.
• Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Importing data into Oracle Configurator Developer (OCD) and build configuration model structure and rules.
• Should be able to create Model structure nodes that enable components to be instantiated multiple times.
• Should be able to develop Configurator Extensions to implement custom functionality.
• Should be able to use the Model Debugger to test work at multiple stages of development. Generate, customize, and test user interfaces to see how Oracle Configurator ensures that only complete and valid products or services can be configured and ordered.
• Should have a strong techno-functional (70-30) background, and ability to project manage multiple concurrent efforts.
• Should be highly motivated problem solver willing to deliver quality work
• Excellent analytical skills, time management skills, ability to prioritize and multi task, ability to routinely make effective and timely decisions in alignment with management direction is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in working with off-shore vendor partners

 

Day to Day Responsibilities include but not limited to:

 

• Document requirements, write extensive functional design documents, work with developers for the build, write test cases/scripts, facilitate testing cycles with business, and perform support and knowledge transfer.
• Come up with Solution Design, Functional specifications
• Perform impact analysis, identify key changes/issues, and perform unit testing.
• Facilitate discussions with business to understand requirements, drive key decisions, and resolution to issues.
• Identify, translate, and map client business requirements.
• Regularly meet with client stakeholders to understand business challenges, needs and issues and identify pragmatic solutions that meet expectations.
• Document all recommendations, requirements, design, configurations, meeting notes, test scripts and results, and project issues as needed.
• Onsite Offshore management. Assign tasks to offshore team and follow up on them
