Job Title: Windows System Admin
Location: New York City, NY
Duration: 3+ Years Contract
Hands on experience on Windows Server 2008 R2, 2012 R2, 2016, IIS Administration
Web server installation and configuration of .Net applications in Microsoft IIS
Web server administration including troubleshooting and actively working incident management responses related to Windows operating system and applications
Patch IIS with the latest version from Microsoft
Provide the Infrastructure support for .Net applications
Secure communication with web server certificate
Co-ordinate with application team to understand their application nature and work with DevOps team to generate the required build package
Work with network team in configuring servers in a load balanced model
Proficient in ITIL concepts for Change Management
Experience in production code migration for .Net applications and making sure the availability of the production infrastructure environments
Analyzing activity log files and diagnosing application server problems
Experience in recycling servers, applications, clusters
Control the security for Windows servers aligned to enterprise guidelines and standards
Maintain multiple environments- Dev, UAT, Staging, Production
Maintain server communication operations between web, application and database servers
Ensures optimization and tuning of server, file systems, capacity planning and appropriate replication.
Backup and restore server configurations
Familiarity with DNS, AD, Networking, Backup, Anti-Virus. Must work with other teams to submit change requests and troubleshoot issues
Monitor and maintain web application environment stability
Advise on technical requirements for web server farm architecture and software installation for new application deployments
Documenting new server implementations and/or modifications to existing servers
Knowledge of PowerShell scripting for Windows Administration
