This job posting is for a hands-on-tech Sr. DevOps Architect experience. This is an on-site position. No off-site/remote/near-shore candidates will be accepted.

GENERAL DUTIES

  • Support of any DevOps related activities as identified by the DevOps Manager or DevOps Scrum Master. 
  • This is a hands-on position. We believe an architect should build using our technology stack in order to be able to design. DevOps Engineering tasks will be assigned to this role to assist with keeping the architect in tune with team real world architecture.
  • Participate in 24x7 DevOps-L3 support schedule. One week per month M-M on-call if DevOps-L2 support needs assistance.
  • Attend daily team scrums, sprint planning sessions and provide adequate status updates both verbally and written within Jira/Svc Now Support Requests.
  • Assist with unblocking user stories/support requests for offshore and onshore team members.  Attempt to remove blockers for offshore team members in time for their next shift.
  • Coach and mentor DevOps Engineers within the team pertaining to technical, procedural and architecture related areas.
  • Work closely with the DevOps Lead and Engineering Managers to develop/execute refactoring, rewrite or lift & shift designs for application cloud migrations.
  • Work closely with the DevOps Lead, Engineering Managers to identify new tech stacks required to support application hosting.
  • Design new tech stacks support models to include disaster recovery, security, data management, backups, network and etc..
  • Work closely with the DevOps Lead and Engineering Managers to design and maintain a standard CICD Pipeline framework with disaster recovery.  Ensure the pipeline framework diagram is up to date and accurate
  • Work closely with the DevOps Lead, Engineering Managers and Department Architects to design and maintain the standard set of diagrams (Context, Component, Deployment/DR-LLE, Deployment/DR-PRD) for all cloud hosted applications.  Ensure these diagrams are always up to date and accurate.
  • Work closely with the Department Architect to ensure all application diagrams reflect accurate information and detail.
  • Responsible for maintaining an effective confluence library of design standards, implementation directions and training materials to govern the team’s engineering standards.
  • Work closely with the DevOps Lead-L3/L2, DevOps Engineers- L2/:L3 and Engineering Managers to transition lower level environment (LLE) support to DevOps-L2 after applications are productionalized.  Provide all items required by the DevOps-L2 team to take over LLE support.
