Role: Hadoop Developer 

Location: Bellevue, WA

Duration: 6+Months

 

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualifications:  3-9 years experience; bachelor’s degree
• Should be proficient in Software Engineering Techniques, Software Engineering Architecture, Software Engineering Lifecycle and Data Management.
• Should have progressing skills on Business Analysis, Business Knowledge, Software Engineering Leadership, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design 

1.  Hands on experience with Running Pig and Hive Queries and developing Pig/Sqoop and other native hadoop language scripts.
2. Analyzing data with Hive, Pig and HBase Data scrubbing and processing with Oozie. Importing and exporting the data using Sqoop from HDFS to Relational Database systems/mainframe and vice-versa. Loading data into HDFS. Developing MapReduce Program to format the data.
3. Teradata SQL Conversion to Hadoop; Experience with Hortonworks
4. Must have experience in Software Design Patterns, Best Practices 
5.  Experience in analyzing text, streams with emerging Hadoop-based big data, NoSQL. 
6.  Must have hands on experience with Large Data Warehouse
7.  Must have 3+ years of development experience in any of the following RDBMS including ORACLE, SYBASE, TERADATA, NETEZZA,etc. 
8.  Experience developing batch processes 
9.  Experience in any ETL tools like, Informatica, InfoSphere, is a plus
10.  Have the zeal to contribute, collaborate and work in a team environment Must have excellent communication skills
