4-5 years application development experience with strong analytical and technical skills in the following areas:
· Specific skills essential for the role: Expert level SQL language, relational database technologies, Essbase calc scripts.
· Experience writing MAXL and batch processing scripts.
· Good understanding of investment banking especially in the FP&A monthly close process area. This includes Transfer pricing processes, all forms of allocation processes.
· Expert MDX writing skills within an ASO cube.
· Oracle Planning expertise
· Oracle Calculation manager expertise.· Development experience in large scale, high volume, multi-threaded and highly distributed systems.
· Experience of working in a dynamic environment often with shifting priorities
· Front to back awareness of processes within an investment bank (from sales to back office)
· Extensive exposure to high pressure, high transaction volume environment
· Naturally takes into account the control and compliance requirement in everything he/she delivers
· Experience in Essbase implementations.
· Experience in Essbase supported platforms
· Experience of working on the complete Software Development Lifecycle
· Experience supporting a team with quick turnaround times expected.
· Experience and sound knowledge of n-tier architectures, service oriented and distributed architectures
· Experience of source control, defect management and build tools with respect to Essbase version 11.1.2.
· Strong relational database expertise.
· Business experience with credit instruments and managing loan systems.
· Good general awareness of Information Security policies and Technology Risk Management from an enterprise / banking systems context
