6 months contract-to-hire position for a Cognos TM1 Developer (Planning Analytics) in Fairfield, OH

Interview Process: 1) Phone Screen, 2) Skype/In-Person (if the person can come in for a F2F interview it will shorten the hiring process)

 

The Cognos TM1 (Planning Analytics) developer is responsible for new functionality and enhancements within TM1, including data gathering and interfacing with internal customers, creating design documents, building to technical specifications and creating technical test scenarios. The position requires technical expertise within TM1 and is responsible for the execution of special projects, operational analysis, and related reporting. Understand business processes and data governance concepts associated with master data, document business requirements and processes to ensure data is reliable and ready for use. Coordinate with IT and Mapping team to ensure we are utilizing technical capacity most effectively and drive effective governance to ensure actionable data quality activities.

 

Responsibilities:

·         Develop technical design specifications and analyze data to create data structures

·         Develop TM1 Turbo Integrator processes and Rules for both new and existing functionality

·         Administer all Planning Analytics/TM1 applications for FP&A and Controlling

·         Work with management to develop new budgeting tool (i.e. TM1) applications to satisfy reporting requirements

·         Support of TM1 on full life cycle projects

·         Oversee and validates integration of source data into the target environment

·         Create and maintain technical administrative documentation

·         Identify process improvement opportunities

·         Oversee and validates integration of source data into the target environment

·         Facilitate key decisions regarding data standards

·         Interface with key business and project team members to facilitate seamless execution of requirements

·         Analyze and resolve cross-functional data issues

·         Analyze data to create data structures

·         Collect data, analyzes and report for early detection and correction, continual improvement.

·         Develop reports in a consistent best practices format

·         Coordinate new reporting requests/changes to ensure accuracy and consistency of reports

·         Monitor and troubleshoot escalated support tickets

·         Additional duties as assigned

 

Education & Certifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required

·         Bachelor's Degree with Accounting / Finance / Information System/ Computer Science field of study a plus.

Other Education / Certifications are a plus:

·         IBM Certified Specialist - Cognos TM1 10.1+ Data Analysis

·         IBM Certified Developer – Cognos TM1 10.1+

·         IBM Certified Administrator – Cognos TM1 10.1+

·         IBM Certified Designer – Cognos 10+ BI Reports

·         IBM Certified Developer – Cognos 10+ BI Metadata Models
