RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work with other Solution Architects and other Development Lead to design,
develop, test application solutions using Mobile technology stack
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers
• Accurately estimates the magnitude and time required to complete mobile
development tasks.
• Provides regular updates to project managers and/or the development lead on
progress.
• Collaborates with other developers, business analysts, testers, architects
and project managers to ensure that mobile development projects are delivered
on-time and are of a consistent high quality.
• Writes designs for new systems, or changes to existing systems, providing
design specifications in accordance with QuintilesIMS Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs)
• Designs, writes and performs unit, integration or system testing which
includes development of test plans.
• Participates in peer review of work products, such as code, designs and
test plans, produced by other team members.
• Assists other team members, serving as an 'expert' either in the business
application, mobile development technologies or Software Development
Lifecycle processes (such as reviewing, designing and testing).
• Provides Level 4 support, troubleshooting problems, providing workarounds
and producing patch releases.
• Maintains up-to-date knowledge of mobile development best practices and the
latest advances in mobile technology.
• Performs other duties as needed.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Expert knowledge of Node.js and JavaScript
• Detailed understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Hands-on experience working on Node.js development tools like npm, grunt,
etc.
• Proficiency using SOAP and REST web services.
• Working knowledge of user authentication and authorization for mobile
applications.
• Working knowledge of iOS, Android and hybrid front-end mobile technologies.
• MongoDB experience desirable.
• MEAN stack
• Experience of the Red Hat Mobile Application Platform or another relevant
MDP desirable.
• Knowledge of AngularJS or similar web application framework desirable.
• Ability to assess/diagnose technical problems, identify root causes and
recommend appropriate solutions.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Knowledgeable in Agile development.
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related discipline and 10+ years’ experience
with applicable tools; or equivalent combination of education, training and
experience.
