Immediate Interview for below Positions
Position: Project Manager with 3 years’ experience in a utility design or utility construction related field, or alternatively,
Location: Jackson, MI
Duration: 6+ month contract
Visa: GC or USC only
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Performs plans reading and acts as liaison between designers, utility agencies and owner on behalf of clients.
- Conducts utility coordination meetings, documents meeting minutes and maintains files of all activities for each utility agency.
- Performs follow-up of meeting action items to assure effective coordination results.
- Interfaces with clients to ensure excellent service and explores opportunities for additional assignments (when applicable).
- Assists in recruiting/developing staff.
- Manages project financial performance.
- Assists with overseeing the project managers responsible for the field personnel and office staff assigned in the branch office
- Analyzes backlog, resources, and sales to determine priorities and needs and coordinates with Regional Manager to secure necessary resources and equipment
- Establishes and maintains quality assurance plans and safety plans for assigned projects
- Oversees all QA/QC functions to ensure accurate and high quality deliverables to clients
- Assists with fee proposals and interfaces with clients to obtain work
- Prepares work plans, assembles project team, delegates tasks and ensures compliance with scope and timely completion of tasks
- Reviews and approves design calculations submittals, specifications and other submittals
- Reviews invoices and prepares/reviews progress reports to client
Qualifications:
- Professionally licensed in engineering, surveying or geology, or alternatively, 4 year college degree plus 3 years’ experience in a utility design or utility construction related field, or alternatively, 8 years’ experience in a utility design or utility construction related field, or alternatively, 2 years as a Project manager in the Utilities Division
