Job Description |
Day to Day Functions:
· Reviewing project specifications and working with other organizations (both within and outside of Engineering) to understand the systems requirements of the project, including the system architecture, design, internal and external interfaces, use cases, etc.
· Generating system test plans to validate system requirements and functionality as documented in the system specifications.
· Developing test scenarios and generating test procedures to properly and rigorously testthe system requirements and functionality.
· Executing tests to validate the requirements and functionality of the project specifications as detailed in the test procudures.
· Identifying, analyzing, and documenting any defects discovered during testing.
· Working with the developments teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
· Generating test reports to document all test results.
Familiarization with the following technologies:
· Web services: Understanding of Web services and SOA architecture.
· Linux: Good hands on Linux skills for troubleshooting and debugging system issues.
Qualifications
· Requires BS in related discipline (i.e., Computer Science, Information Systems) and 3-5 years of experience in related field (i.e. Satellite / Broadband Video Delivery)
· Overall 6+ years with a minimum of 2 years Test Lead experience.
· Excellent client skills. |
