Location: Berkeley with Hybrid Commute (Remote plus 1-2 days a month on-site or as needed)

 

Responsibilities:

                  • Employ a diverse range of statistical methodologies, including sampling techniques, feature engineering, and other advanced approaches to address and mitigate the social inequities reflected in the data.

                  • Monitor the performance of the models and make updates and improvements, as necessary.

                  • Ensure model Explain ability, interpretability and conduct feature importance analysis to identify the most influential predictors.

                  • Develop and maintain documentation for models and related processes, including model validation and testing.

                  • Present Complex state of the art machine learning and deep learning research to non-technical audiences using visualizations.

                  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

                  • Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to improve the data science and machine learning architecture.

                  • Continuously stay up to date with the latest industry trends and advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare.

 

Skills / Qualifications:

                  • Proficiency in SQL (SQL Server, Oracle, Bigdata), and Python (other scripting Languages: PHP PowerShell, SAS, Linux)

                  • Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent years of experience. Master’s degree preferred.

                  • Hands-on experience with data manipulation libraries (e.g., pandas, NumPy)

                  • Experience working with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Caffe2, PyTorch, Spark ML, scikit-learn, or related frameworks.

                  •10+ years Experience in advanced multivariate time series statistics/econometric methodologies and using them to validate model assumptions and findings including analysis of model performance.

                  • Proficiency with feature engineering, model interpretability, and feature importance analysis

                   Good understanding of mathematics, statistics, and algorithms (recommendation Engines, Customer Segmentation, Trend Modeling, Time Series Forecasting)

                  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

                  • Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems.

                  • Take pride in taking ownership and driving projects to business impact.

                  • Thrive in a collaborative environment.

                  • Healthcare or clinical lab work experience is a plus.
