We are looking for QA Engineer (Web Based application/.Net) for a long term contract located in CA. Need a F2F interview after telephonic. Below is the position description Please send me latest resume if interested.
Position: Contractor (1 year)
Responsibilities
· Create test scripts around requirements and configure them to run daily. Establish a deterministic data environment for testing and build a solid foundation for automated regression testing.
· Use a combination of tools such as Karma, Nunit, Jasmine, Protractor, and JIRA to facilitate testing.
· Utilize JIRA to review resolved issues and determine pass or failure states. Reopen failed elements and provide ample detail to the developer regarding failures.
· Work well in a team setting with full stack developers, Business Analyst, and project managers.
· Thrive in a development environment powered by JS, Angular 1.x, HTML5, CSS, SASS, C#, SQL, Entity Framework, RESTful APIs, in a .NET development environment.
· Maintain best practices and regression testing procedures to ensure quality of development across the team is maintained and can enter UAT with only minor change requirements.
· Review and enforce best practices associated with User Experience and Interface design for a modern financial web application.
· Identify, record, track, and thoroughly document bugs.
Requirements
· 5+ years of experience with manual use case testing, NUnit or MSTest, SQL profiler, Karma or Protractor, .NET development, JS, HTML5, CSS, Visual Studio, TFS
· Comprehensive understanding of software QA methodologies, n-tier architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization
· Familiar with JSON, XML, Entity Framework, Jenkins, Karma, Protractor, Jasmine, Nunit, TFS, Bower, Gulp, Ninject, and NodeJS
· Knowledge and/or experience working in the investment industry highly desired. Experience developing investment or portfolio systems in support of investment business processes is highly lucrative.
· Detail oriented, with excellent quantitative and analytical skills, the candidate must be able to pick up new concepts quickly and thoroughly and be able to add value immediately in a steep learning curve environment
· Self-driven and motivated with a strong work ethic are a must
· High comprehension ability and quick thinker that can demonstrate a cognitive knowledge of a given subject matter
· Ability to work collaboratively in a team with other specialized individuals and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
· BA/BS in related engineering, computer science, or relevant field
· Certification in financial field highly desirable
