Detailed job description:

·         Working knowledge of operating systems (e.g., AIX, i5OS, Windows, etc)
·         Basic knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, SSL, etc
·         Extensive knowledge of IBM WebSphere MQ Server, Message Broker and MQ MFT features and functions in a high message volume environment
·         Extensive knowledge of a multi instance queue manager
·         Good understanding of the IBM WebSphere MQ System Administration Guide
·         Hands-on experience installing and configuring IBM WebSphere MQ , Broker and MQ MFT
·         Control M and Tivoli experience
·         Knowledge of security concepts
·         Good understanding of broker Publish/Subscribe functionality
·         Knowledge of Eclipse tooling
·         Knowledge of application development life cycle
·         Hands-on software and hardware troubleshooting experience.
·         Experience documenting and maintaining configuration and process information.
·         Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
·         Knowledge of SOX compliance
·         Installs, configures, upgrades, and patches WebSphere MQ Server, Message Broker and MQ MFT
·         Creating and configuring Queue Managers, Channels, Queues, Process definitions, Client channel definition tables, rules table for Dead Letter Handler in all production, QA, and development environments            and    ensures functionality
·         Manages security of queue managers, channels with user accounts, SSL and or IP authentication in accordance with best-practices regarding privacy, security, andregulatory compliance
·         Monitor the current configuration and performance of the integration platform to guarantee the utmost availability (24x7) of messaging systems
·         Assist in tuning Messaging processes recommending any throughput improvements required
·         Resolve incident tickets in a timely matter, providing root cause analysis directing escalations to  appropriate management staff
·         Develops server scripts to automate MQ, Message Broker and MQ MFT administrative tasks
·         Participate in negotiations with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure software products and services
·         Participate in disaster recovery planning, implementation and testing
·         Participate in and support capacity planning and the development of long-term strategic goals for software
