Position: SQL Server DBA
Location: Parsippany NJ
Duration:6 Months
Note – we need candidate to Travel to UK for 2 weeks to do Knowledge transfer.
In-depth SQL server database administration skills, in 2008, 2008R2 , 2012 and 2014 variants
Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices
Proven track record working as a SQL Server Database Administrator in an enterprise environment
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Experience in managing large database environments (5TB+)
SQL scripting skills -stored procedures, views, tables, functions adhoc queries, replication (transactional, mirroring, log shipping).
Experience with PowerShell scripting
SSRS Deployment, SSIS Deployment, MDS, DQS and SSAS Deployment experience
Database tuning and capacity management skills - e.g. PBM, TDE, Compression, SQL Profiler, System Stored Procedures.
Experience in using Net app storage is advantageous
Strong knowledge of database replication and high-availability solutions - e.g. Alwayson Clustering and Availability groups, Peer-to-Peer Replication, DB Mirroring, Log Shipping
Strong Knowledge of Partitioning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
