Position: Informatica Developer
Location: Cheektowaga, NY
Duration: 6+ month contract
Visa: GC or USC only on W2
Responsibilities
- Creating functional requirements and technical specifications as well as designing, developing, testing, documenting, implementing, managing, and maintaining solutions utilizing Informatica’s’ technology stack, including Informatica Power Center/Data Quality Tools and Teradata.
- Working with ETL/Data Analysts and EDW Architects in designing/enhancing ETL architecture.
- Perform hands on development and mappings using Informatica Power Center.
- Full lifecycle project management, solution design, and overall ETL design and development.
- Comply with ETL standards and guidelines related to the design, construction, testing, and deployment.
- Coordinate with deployment and support resources to ensure the solutions gets implemented smoothly into QA and Production environments.
Ideal Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of experience working in a high volume Informatica Power Center, Metadata Manager environment and 5+ years in ETL.
- Experience with different databases such as Oracle and/or SQL Server.
- Experience converting specifications to programs and data mapping in an ETL Informatica environment.
- Experience writing complex SQL statements and analyzing SQL.
- Experience in performance tuning.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team Lead experience.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Teradata knowledge.
- Knowledge of a variety of modeling and/or diagramming techniques, with the ability to create process flow diagrams and the ability read data flow and entity relationship models.
- Experience working with multiple file structures.
- Experience with complex shell scripting using Unix.
- SSIS and SSRS experience.
- Financial Services / Banking Industry domain background.
- CA7 or equivalent job scheduling tool experience.
