Position: Senior .NET Applications Developer
Location: Westchester, IL
Duration: Long Term contract
Position Description:
Responsible for creating and maintaining web applications to support HFMA web initiatives. The position’s main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, analysis, design and development of applications to meet the business requirements of various HFMA initiatives; defining business and technical requirements, technical design, user acceptance and support documentation; provide written technical documentation; work closely with various departments to develop streamlined applications. Stays up-to-date on new and developing web technologies, trends, and best practices; championing the adoption of appropriate options throughout the organization.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Should be proficient in Business Analysis, Software Engineering, Architecture Knowledge and Technical Solution Design.
- Must be proficient with latest .Net technologies and SQL Server databases.
· Design and Develop high performing, Scalable web applications using Bootstrap, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, .NET, SQL Server and JavaScript.
· Expert level command of OO Design & Development using C# & SQL Server.
· Expertise in Refactoring and writing testable code.
- Implement best practices, standards and procedures including quality and delivery methodologies.
- Leading and coordinating with Offshore teams & vendors.
· Reviewing departmental objectives, assessing their functional needs, and translating their business requirements into technical requirements.
- Creating connections to systems (using APIs) and allowing for the display of dashboards and KPIs using components such as Excel, SQL Reporting Service, etc.
· Assist with user acceptance testing, preparation of user manuals and training for applications. Contribute to performance and load testing procedures and issue remediation.
· Contribute and understand the Map App code and database structure.
- Assisting with the integration of multiple HFMA systems and platforms
· Stay abreast of changes in the technical environment to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjust plans accordingly.
- Work collaboratively with all stakeholders, including the Web Content Manager, Project Managers, IT department, and Marketing.
· Responsible for managing projects that are assigned and using industry standard project management techniques.
- Providing general support to the Digital Assets and IT teams as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or related equivalent skills
· At least 8 years of experience in building performant, scalable, and secured web applications using .NET 4.0+, C#, ASP.Net MVC, ASP.NET, jQuery, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
· Expertise in ORM tools such as Entity Framework, NHibernate etc.
· Expert level experience in configuration and administration of SQL databases including stored procedures, functions, triggers, tables, views and indexes.
· Expert level experience in SSRS, SSIS, Power Pivot, Power View and Power BI.
· Experience with Ektron or other CMS systems required.
· Experience working with Version Control systems such as TFS, GIT or other similar tools.
· Experience with TFS CI/CD tools.
· 7+ years’ experience with Web Services.
· Expert level Knowledge of responsive design specifically focused on bootstrap functionality.
· Experience with Active Directory, PowerShell and scripting languages.
