Sr. Android Developer
Location – Bethesda, MD
Duration : 6 Months (Possibility of Ext)

REQUIRED SKILLS:
-7+ years experience in developing software with expert-level expertise
-7+ in multiple programming languages and methodologies
-5+ years experience developing native apps on the Android platform
-Experience developing Universal apps supporting UI for varying screen sizes (e.g. phones and tablets) -Experience with 3rd Party SDK integrations such as Google Maps and other open source libraries -Experience packaging and publishing applications on Google Play -Proven knowledge and experience of SOA using RESTful web services and API platform integrations -Working knowledge of latest trends in Android technologies, -Demonstrated in-depth understanding of mobile industry trends, development products and environments as well as best practices for mobile application design and development -Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience/certification
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:
-Graduate degree
-Experience developing apps for iOS or Windows Mobile platforms -Excellent knowledge of working with dynamic data using services (e.g., JSON, XML, REST APIs etc) -Experience with Android testing frameworks such as Espresso -Experience with Data Modeling, Networking, and Push Notification frameworks -Experience with Android Wear technologies -Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins -Experience with GIT source code version control -Experience with JIRA -Active contributions to OSS projects
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Selects, designs and implements critical components of technology to support global digital and mobile strategy.
-This role will integrate and advance our mobile platforms in alignment with our core business objectives and technical architecture.
-Functions as a technical expert.
-Resolves and makes decisions on complex, non-routine service requests with limited to moderate risk.
-Performs research, analysis, design, creation and implementation of applications to meet current and future user requirements.
-Defines and creates the next generation of solutions.
-Monitors projects by Service Provider to successful completion, maintaining scope within the time and budget constraints.
-Creates solutions that serve our business leveraging current and leading edge technologies in an innovative and impactful manner.
