Project Description:
We are looking for a self-motivated and passionate user interaction and visual designer to join our team. This position will be self-starting/managing the UI side for Cap Mobile app. but also able to have a
skill set in UX. Candidate must have skillset to run with the requirements given. As an UI designer, will work closely with business analysts, user experience designers, visual developers,
internal clients, and project managers to create world-class experiences for our customers and sales associates. You will need to be comfortable with juggling multiple projects while maintaining a
strong visual design standard. Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate knowledge of working with all key form factors, including mobile, web and desktop, and will have some familiarity with
developing visual interfaces for complex systems.
Position Overview:
Responsibilities/Deliverables that the resource will be responsible for:
Design experience, must be strong enough candidate to drive and manage the requirements with little to no UI direction
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript and JQuery experience a must please indicate in resume what projects they used
Develop design documentation materials, specifications, visual assets, and other deliverables to support development
Develop wireframes, prototypes, design presentations, and other materials as needed to communicate designs to internal stakeholders
Ensure visual integrity and maintain a strong point of view throughout development lifecycle
Communicate clearly with business partners and other team members to set expectations, understand requirements, and articulate solutions
Meet all deadlines and successfully deliver assigned work
Follow brand guidelines as established by Client
Ability to conceptualize and communicate design approaches across multiple presentation layers to create consistent experience across applications
Can collaborate with developers to help implement designs in iOS and Android platforms.
Ability to suggest design features that promotes usability and enhanced user experience.
Experience working as part of an Agile development team
Normal day for this position would be:
30% Design
70% Developing
Skills Overview:
MUST have skills:
5-7 years' recent experience UI design and UX
2 years recent agile experience
Javascript - 5 years:previouse candidates were not strong enought. CRITICAL
Knowledge of and experience with applicable technologies (HTML 5, Android, iOS, JQuery)
BFA in design or equivalent combination of experience/education
3 or more years of experience within design field
Experience creating design assets for multiple resolutions and screen sizes
Broad knowledge of user interface design best practices for accessibility, usability, and form-factor dependent paradigms (e.g. touch/gesture)
Android and/or iOS animation experience a plus
Must have soft skill:
1. Strong creative and critical thinking skills
2. Must like a challenge- figuring out problems, critical thinker
3. Excellent time management and organization skills
4. Excellent meeting facilitation and negotiation skills
5. Self-sufficient/self-starter
6. Works well with little direction/takes initiative
7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
8. Ability to multi task, work on tasks simultaneously
9. Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skill
10. Must be able to voice opinion and take charge when needed
