Below are the Position Details:
Position: Financial Services Project Manager
Location: Jersey City, NJ
Duration: 6+ month contract
· Approximately 50 projects have been identified.
· Work was arranged into ~15 workstreams of multiple projects
· Some workstreams are underway
· Workstreams typically have ~25 resources
· Individual projects typically have ~10 resources
· Effort expected to take 18 months
· Waterfall methodology being utilized with some iterative development
· Agile experience is nice to have but we should not be looking for it
Requirements for project managers:
· Financial services background - JPMC, Morgan Stanley, BoA, etc.
· Understanding of trading and trading platforms (look for treasury and capital markets)
· Strong w/ MS Project, PPM Clarity, Excel
· Tableau experience nice to have
· Strong communication skills, ESPECIALLY for the senior level folks as they will be client facing and interfacing with the C-Suite
· Mid and Junior level should have good communication skills but can be less polished than the senior level candidates
· Need to be able to manage multiple projects/priorities - others have failed because of an inability to do so in the past
· Need to understand what they can or cannot do - know when to escalate
· Needs to stay on top of the deliverables that have already been defined
