Job Description:
Experience : 8-10 Yrs
Performance automation engineer responsible for creating/executing performance tests.
Experience: at least three years of current experience in performance test automation required.
Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of performance test automation activities. Must have the ability to analyze and understand complex applications and systems with minimal supervision. Must possess problem-solving skills to determine the configuration effects on existing systems. Must have strong decision-making skills for problem identification and solution recommendation. Must have excellent written and oral communication skills to prepare and communicate test plans and procedures as well as to interact with all levels within the company.
With full competency, able to design, develop, execute and analize run results of performance test scripts as well as assimilate non functional requirements and perform workload analysis to drive those scripts.
Required Skills:
Competency with HP tools suite (Quality Center, LoadRunner, and Performance Center)
Solid workload modeling skills as it pertains to performance testing
Ability to elicit non-functional requirements
Ability to create "ad-hoc" tests to exploit areas of suspect performance issues
Proficient in scripting in VB and C languages
Designs and executes complex test scenarios, scripts
Strong knowledge of testing methodologies to include Agile, Waterfall, Iterative
Ability to draft test plans, strategies and metrics
Validates and reports test results
Coordinates calendars and plans test runs
Analyzes and reviews requirements and technical work products
Maps requirements to tests and test results
Prioritizes, defines and manages defect reporting and resolution
Good understanding of Operating Systems, Networks, hardware and common Performance related issues
Able to perform root cause analysis and translate test results to produce test reports for various stakeholders
Ability to analyze complex systems, project documentation in order to determine appropriate test strategies and translate them into required test documentation
Previous experience with estimating test efforts
Excellent communication skills
Self-motivated and capable of working with others with minimal supervision
Flexible - able to present options and seek "best" path when ideal situations do not occur
SQL a plus
Experience with performance test tools (HP Performance Center)
