Job Description:
Work on the TrueSight to evaluate current and future state of network and systems and provide guidance and recommendations regarding future capacity growth.
Compile data from various tools ( CMDB ) to aggregate the data and present this to executives across the organization.
Present performance criteria, measurement methods and capacity reports and roadmap for critical project and cost analyses
Studies and forecasts traffic drivers to determine short and/or long term capacity needs.
Must Have Domain Skills
Analyze the current network and systems architecture for high performance, availability and redundancy and provide guidance on capacity optimization
Analyze requirements from the business and determine when to scale up and scale down the infrastructure
Prepare the analysis of the short term or long term capacity needs for wireless and wireline infrastructure.
May conduct network architecture design, feasibility and cost studies.
Good To Have Skills
Interface with vendors to resolve technical issues with their equipment
Identify capacity-related issues proactively and work with systems, network, application operations and engineering teams to discover resolutions.
Recommends strategic network architecture planning and network evolution policy decisions in support of corporate initiatives, customer demand, technology changes, economic and service reliability criteria;
Evaluates new and emerging technologies for addition and/or application to existing network systems;
Conducts economic and population growth studies to determine impact on network capacity and development plan projections; Creates deliverables such as mgmt reports, business cases, infrastructure deployment guidelines, 3 Year Plans, Plans of Record, Project Approval Letters, and Serving Plans;
Works with key internal stakeholder and vendors to determine future business and customer needs.
