Job Description:
Need Hadoop Architect skills
Java knowledge (mandatory with Hadoop); jvm knowledge wrt Hadoop and hdfs
Performance management of Hadoop cluster; Tuning programs and cluster to maximize platform's efficiency
Experience with translating algorithms to map-reduce jobs
Experience with writing parallel programs
Understanding of architectural best practices around big data solutions
End-to-end experience with most commonly used tools (i.e. a generalist)
Performance tuning experience / mentorship
Security experience
Automation experience (setting up pipelines)
Comfortable mentoring small-medium sized teams in common processes, leading brown-bag style sessions
Operationalization experience, can guide implementation of best-practices to ensure the platform stays healthy
Cloudera-specific expertise (manager, navigator, etc) (at least 1 year of experience)
Knowledge of Python
Experience in building machine learning models; Experience with statistical analysis.
Strong Business Acumen.
Cloudera-specific expertise
Analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication Skills.
Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment and client management.
With more focus on architectural best practices around big data solutions.
