Position Summary

Client is looking for a senior devops engineer to join a dynamic environment support the next generation travel platform. The Senior Devops Engineer will be responsible for production support of customer website. The role of the operations engineer is to not only keep the systems running 24x7, but also to assist in instrumentation and monitoring, capacity planning, and deployment automation.The candidate must have an operations mind-set, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and be able to work well under pressure with tight deadlines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 Maintain and manage very highly available and highly scaled production platforms.

 Troubleshoot and fix production issues as and when required and document/communicate theresolution notes to other team members/technical operations center

 Create cloud (Azure, AWS) based and traditional infrastructure through automated scripts.

 Participating in 24x7 on-call rotation.

Experience:

 A solid understanding of IP-based networking to include DNS, load-balancing, GSLB, and HTTPresponse codes

 Experience in APM tools like New Relic, IBM TeaLeaf etc.

 Experience with debugging tools (WinDbg, etc.)

 Implementing DevOps concepts across multiple products with quantitative improvements inengineering processes and delivery

 Experience with one or more scripting languages (PowerShell, bash, etc.)

 Understanding of Application Server Deployment and Administration IIS

 Log Analysis and Parsing Tools (Splunk, Log Parser, etc.)

 Experience in using ticketing tools.

 Previous experience with monitoring solutions and services

 Previous experience managing .NET applications in production is a must

Desired Knowledge:

 SiteCore exposure and its configuration troubleshooting

 Knowledge of development cycle and coding practices

 Knowledge of Infrastructure server management tools like Rackspace

 Knowledge of Agile processes

 Knowledge of Technologies .NET, SiteCore, NService Bus, Web API, WCF, REST APIs

 Travel Domain
