Job Title   : Operational DBA

Location  : New York, NY
Duration : 4+ Months

 

Job Description and Requirements:

Operational DBA/Documentation resource to support the application.

·         Providing database support for development and deployment of database scripts in Development, Test, Pre-Production and Production environments. 

·         Providing database administration support for application development teams for Maintenance and Emergency software releases.

·         Ensuring that storage, archiving, back-up and recovery procedures are functioning correctly

·         Develop Oracle stored procedures, packages, functions, and triggers in support of new applications being deployed.

·         Communicating regularly with technical, applications, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security

·         Creating Database Runbook including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary

 

Skill and Experience Requirements:

·         Highly proficient in core Oracle DBA skills spanning multiple releases

·         Experience with Oracle on Linux

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical people

 

Software Environment:

·         Oracle 12c – Standard Edition

·         Limitation is around truncation of historic data

·         No ADS

·         Reporting views will be implemented on the TDS

·         Linux

·         WebLogic 12

·         Sun JDK 1.7

·         WebLogic JMS

·         Internet Explorer version 10
