BCforward is presently looking for a Software engineer (.net) in Indianapolis.

The Ideal candidate would be local to Indy and it's a 2 months of contract.

Job Title: Software Engineer

Duration: 2 Months

Location: Indianapolis.

Position Summary:

Responsible for the design and development of software, interfaces to include Windows and Web Services, and all activities required for implementing and testing those systems.  

Systems must be architected to be efficient and user-friendly and easily deployed and maintained.  

Will work closely with project managers, business analysts, and business units to gather requirements, document, plan, and implement complex systems.  

Work closely with Application Developer assigning tasks, completing code reviews, and mentoring.    

Required Skills:

• C#.NET

• MVC

• Javascript

• Bootstrap

• REST/SOAP services.

• IIS

• Crystal Reports

• SQL

• SDLC

• Database design and development on Microsoft SQL Server.

• Subversion, Team Foundation Server

• Visual Studio

• Experience with OnBase is a plus

• Experience with .NET Core is a plus

• Must have a deep knowledge of software development, security principles, software testing, software architectures, and code management best practices.

• Communicate effectively to diverse audiences in both written and verbal communication.

• Able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Well-developed analytical and problem solving experience.

• Work independently at the highest level of all technical phases of system design and development.

• Experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies.

• Attention to detail.

• Ability to work as a team member maintaining positive working relationships.

Education/Licensure/Certifications/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree

• At least 6 years Software Development experience.

• Or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

• Healthcare/Health Department/Hospital experience highly desired.

• License / Certification:  valid Indiana driver’s license and access to own vehicle for in-county travel

Responsibilities:

• Meet with clients and business analysts to discuss requests for new systems and/or modifications to existing ones.

• Works from requirements documents to develop detailed system designs.

• Present proposed detailed designs to clients for approval.

• Codes, tests and installs new or modified systems according to requirements.

• Work with a project manager or independently to complete projects.

• Maintains technical proficiency with continued development and education.

• Design and develop systems and interfaces to run efficiently and effectively. 

• Develop and maintain system development documentation according to established standards.

• Analyzes, reviews, and potentially rewrites or modifies systems to increase operating efficiency or to adapt to new requirements.

• Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects.

• Ability to work with internal and external personnel to define, collaborates, and implements systems.
