Job Title:Java/Liferay Developer

Location: Miami, FL 

Duration: 1+ Year Contract  

Job Description

AvMed LifeRay Project:

7+ years of experience in the area of Software Analysis, architecture, development, Maintenance and Support; almost 4+ years of hands on Liferay development experience

5 years of experience in design and development of Liferay applications involving hooks, themes, layouts, portlets (JSR-168/JSR-286 Portlet development), and ext-Plugins)

5+ years of Java/J2EE and Liferay/Java design patterns

Strong knowledge in J2EE, RDBMS, OOAD, MVC Frameworks, ORM Tools, Web Servers, and Web

Experience in setting-up Clustered Liferay Portal environment

Experience with installation and configuration of Liferay in Glassfish and Tomcat

Experience with securing Liferay servers (Enable audit logging, assign correct roles to users)

Experience with customizing and using Liferay Out of Box portlets

Experience on LDAP and Liferay auto login process

Strong knowledge on SOAP and Restful web services and Configuring of WS-Security

Experience in Site monitoring and tracking tools (Google analytics)

Proficiency in programming with different Java IDE's

Strong technical background, excellent analytical ability, good debugging skills, good communication skills, team player, goal oriented and ability to quickly learn new technologies as required

Experience with design and development of XML Schema Definitions

Testing experience: performing/automating Unit through Integration Testing; System Integration Testing

Experience with Agile Software Development Lifecycle

Liferay Developer with solid experience and capable of working independently

Liferay portal certified is a plus
