Job Description:
Mandatory Skills: Hadoop Development/ Java/ SAS/ NoSQL/ Searching Sorting
Description:
To develop and deliver codes for the work assigned in accordance with time| quality and cost standards.
(1.) To provide client support by presenting data, information, ticket resolution and day to day support activities like monitoring client requirements
(2.) To provide support for enhancement (major and minor) or new developments based on business requirements as provided by the client as well as from the functional and technical team of HCL on the project.
(3.) To provide technical guidance to junior developers
(4.) To interact with the customer and internal teams to gather requirements for development purposes.
Additional requirement
JD: Developer/Data Analyst
Essential Requirements
· 5 years’ experience administering and leading production teams
· Linux/Unix administration
· Familiarity with Hadoop and other related technologies (e.g. NoSQL databases, free-text search engines, streams processing, etc.)
· Familiarity with data warehouse and RDBMS technologies (Postgres, MySQL, Oracle, Teradata)
· Helped manage and run a production infrastructure (24X7)
· Strong interpersonal skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
· Deep knowledge of database and data warehouse technologies
· BS in computer science of related field
Preferred Requirements
· Familiarity with the media business
· Familiarity with networking components, protocols, challenges, and solutions
· Experience with large data sets and their associated challenges
· Understanding of Analytics software, e.g. R, SAS, Matlab.
· Experience with Teradata and Oracle
· Experience with Business Intelligence tools, such as Business Objects, Microstrategies, Tableau
· Experience with Pivotal and Hortonworks Hadoop Distributions
