Must-haves
6-8 years of hands-on experience in core Java / J2EE technologies
Strong hands-on experience in Hadoop ecosystem (hands on development (MapR or cloudera, or hortonworks. mapr is really really what they want)
Experience with all of the following tools (hbase, apache spark, pig, drill, and oozie. - pig is the only tool that could maybe not be part of their experience)
(if they work with the above toosl they should be able to Leverage Apache Spark, SparkSQL building RDDs from HDFS, Hbase, Hive interchangeably.)
Strong experience in HBase, ability to build / design an optimized schema for a given set of queries to be served.
In-depth knowledge in SQL on Hadoop technologies, preferably Apache Hive and Drill.
Should have worked with large datasets and familiar with data modeling. Should have knowledge on SQOOP to pull data from different data sources. and solution architecture of APIs, WebServices and clients (REST)
experience with maven or ! any other build tool that helps them with code reviews for build integration
Plusses
Deep knowledge in Spring, Hibernate, Maven is required.
Working knowledge on MapR technology would be a plus.
very good experience in design, development, deployment
Good knowledge on Apache spark, YARN architectures and its various deployment modes like yarn-client, clustered mode etc.

They will be joining the incubation services team to help build on top of their established hadoop ecosystem. They already have the UI component built but could use a hadoop developer to help enhance after they have finished developing platform. They will be continually working with mapR, hbase, apache spark, pig, drill, and oozie so need to be proficient with HANDS on development in hadoop.
