Responsibilities of the Test Automation Developer for Field Tools include: - Works within established automated test process and standards, make recommended improvements
- Monitors compliance to test standards and processes and communicate suggested modifications to test leadership
- Designs, documents, develops and executes automation test scripts
- Analyzes, documents, and reports test results
- Coaches and mentors team members in test automation and QA practices
- Manages automation test environment and infrastructure
- Works with Test Automation Lead to establish a test automation plan
- Gathers metrics for measurement of software development processes
- Assesses associated risks of system architecture and technical implementation
- Participates in identification of system and process efficiencies

Education and experience: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or related field
- 7+ years testing experience on client-server and web-based applications, or equivalent levels of related industry experience
- Experience translating user stories, acceptance criteria, and defect resolutions into test cases and test scripts
- Demonstrated understanding of test plans, with attention to details and personal initiative to work through questions
- Strong communication, documentation, planning and decision-making skills
- Ability to build & maintain relationships, and actively collaborate with cross-functional team members and testers
- Experience writing SQL to query and validate test results in a database
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred – working collaboratively, within sprints
- Test automation experience using Type Script or other development skills
