Job Title: Automation developer

Duration: 6+ Months 

Location: San Antonio, TX.

Job Description

Skills:     5-7 years related experience required. ***See Below***

Requirements:

- Proficient in Ruby (4-5 years’ experience). 

- Other languages ( Python, Java, or C++) are a plus for this position in addition to Ruby

- Execute and write Ruby tests scripts to test user interfaces and web applications

- Knowledge of Jenkins to build and troubleshoot automated test execution jobs

- Excellent knowledge of object oriented programming

- Experience with Linux, such as Red Hat or Ubuntu and/or Windows

- Demonstrated proficiency in creating technical documentation

- Proficient with Git or similar source control systems

- Knowledge in Cucumber test runner

Preferences:

- 5-8 years of development test automation experience

- Proficient in Selenium WebDriver and UI automation concepts - Updated 5/5/2016

- Experience in an Agile environment using a CI/CD Model Methodology 

- Strong understanding of software/testing methodologies such as TDD

- Good understanding of Cloud computing concepts

- Strong knowledge of performance, load, and stress testing

- Good understanding of SOAP UI

- Good understanding of .NET platform

- Ability to test APIs and web services

Education:

- BS in Computer Science or technical related degree or equivalent experience

Other Skills:

- Excellent English oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Writes and executes automated test scripts using a pre-defined framework

• Designs and implements test frameworks and tools

• Writes positive and negative smoke and regression test scripts to test product functionality and integration with dependencies

• Tests user interfaces and/or web applications

• Participates in test automation code reviews

• Works closely with Development from Design phase to implementation into production

• Collaborates with other quality and development engineers to build, evolve, and maintain a scalable continuous build and deployment pipeline
