Rate: $40/Hr on C2C/1099 Maxx
Seeking an IBM AS/400 iSeries System Administrator with 8-10 years experience for an 11-month Contract with our client in the Greater Memphis area.
Job Description: The iSeries Administrator’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the IBM iSeries environment that supports core organizational functions.
ONE production system with (4) development and testing boxes
Responsibilities:
Responsible for the day to day support and maintenance of the IBM iSeries environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of IBM i/p-Series environments.
Experience: 8-10 years experience as an iSeries System Administrator
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent experience
Required Skills:
IBM iSeries Operating System v7R1
Updating Operating System and peripheral hardware such as HMC (Hardware Management Console)
PTF (Program/Product Temporary Fix) updates (software updates)
Problem analysis
Hardware/Software/Job
Backup Recovery Media Service (BRMS) (Backup, Recover Media Services)
Tape loads
Backups
Restores
A knowledge of basic iSeries commands
Job Scheduler (uses Robot Scheduler)
Disaster recovery (DRS)/Replication
ITERA software (High Availability Software)
Compliance/Audit
Change Management
Certificate Management
Code Promotion for ADM (Analytical Decision Management)
Crypto – encryption
Command Language Scripting
RSF (Remote Software Facility)
Lansa (preferred)
