Position : DB2 DBA
Duration : 3 Months
Location : Jersey City NJ
6+ years’ experience as a mainframe DB2 Systems Programmer
In-depth knowledge of DB2 Internals, components, installations, maintenance, upgrade and operations
Ability to resolve Production DB2 issues quickly and effectively
Experience supporting high throughput OLTP and batch applications.Working knowledge of DB2 Connect and DDF work flow
Working knowledge of DB2 stored procedures
In-depth knowledge of z/OS Operating system
In-depth knowledge of ISPF, JCL, SQL, and DB2 utilities
In-depth knowledge of DB2 Datasharing and SYSPLEX environment
In-depth knowledge of SMP/E
Working knowledge of DB2 data replication (QREP, CDC) would be a plus
Proficiency in the use of DB2 monitoring tools (i.e. Omegamon)
Proficiency in the use of IBM DB2 tools / utilities
Knowledge of application development/debugging tools (Data Studio, Visual Explain, etc.)
Proficiency of REXX programming a plus
Off-hours oncall support required
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Clear, concise and effective written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage overlapping tasks and activities
Good organizational skills
