Job Description
The Network Communication & Security Group (NCS) is responsible for the implementation, research and maintenance of distributed networking technologies in all enterprise areas. It includes engineering and Run the Bank operational management of firewalls, load balancers, proxy servers and including their specific management environments.
Principal Responsibilities:
Seeking a Sr. Level 3 Global load balancer engineer that has hand-on experience with the ability to provide comprehensive network consultation to business unit, IT management and staff at the highest technical level on all phases of the project development cycle. The candidate must being works closely with client management and application developers to identify and specify the complex business requirements and processes (e.g., diverse development platforms, software, hardware, technologies and tools, etc.); and convert these requirements into a choice of solutions or/and recommends that provide the most efficient and cost effective solution for the network design. The candidate must have the skills to perform research, analysis, system design, documentation, testing implementation and on-going support for extremely complex networks including firewalls, load balancers, VPN and proxy servers. The candidate must provide highly technical consulting and leadership skills Possess experience to identify and implement new technologies, which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategies and objectives. The individual will assist in planning, organizing and controlling all the activities of the section and in the development of the overall project plans and timetables. The candidate will maintain relationships with vendors and other corporate telecommunications professionals. The position requires participation in on-call rotation and weekend change duties.
Experience
Extremely strong hands on Level 3 global load balancer experience in Radware and /or F5
Eight years of solid, diverse work experience in networking and security communications, or the equivalent in education and work experience. Working experience in large financial firm is A plus
Check point firewall environment, Blue Coat proxy, VMware/vShield, Virtualization is A plus
Knowledge and Skills Required
Requires excellent analytical ability for network traffic manipulation and flows, strong judgment and probe analysis techniques, an in-depth knowledge of business unit’s functions and applications, and broad knowledge of telecommunication/LAN technologies including TCP/IP, AIX/UNIX/LINUX, Windows and extensive knowledge of network management tools. Knowledge of network security tools. Be able to lead a group of network engineers.
Experience with Radware Load Balancer, DefensePro, AbSolute Vision and or F5 load balancer
Check Point firewall experience required including: Provider-1, GAIA, Virtual firewall and Identity Awareness
vShield firewall on VMware and any other layer 2 firewall infrastructure
Blue Coat proxy (SG, and Blue coat Director) experience
Familiarity with ITIL controls, Change Management
Management software including: HPNA, Firemon, Skybox, Firemon, Tufin, OPSware, Splunk, Backbox, Qradar, Cascade, CA eHealth, Netcool
Proficient in analyzing sniffier captures
Microsoft office applications: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Visio
Proficient in Technical Writing and communication
Compliance and audit experience
Experience with customer support
Preferred working days between Tuesday and Saturday
Education, Training &/or Certification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering/E.E or a related discipline with an advanced degree preferred.
Certifications preferred in Load Balancing, Security and/or Networking.
