Job Description

 

Java Spring Cloud Data Engineer having strong solid understanding on micro services model development and Cloud applications architecture using Java EE, Spring & Spring boot. Must have strong experience in Building real-time cloud-native data processing pipelines with Spring Cloud Data Flow and Pivotal Cloud Foundry. Must have good experience in leading an offshore development team based out of India. Must have prior experience in a customer facing role with strong communication skills across multiple teams.

 

Technical Skills:

•                 Must have at least 6-8 years of hands-on experience in developing rich applications using Java, Spring, Spring boot

•                 Proven ability in Spring Cloud Data Flow for implementing range of data processing use case like import/export to event streaming and predictive analytics.

•                 Strong experience developing event/message driven microservices using Spring Cloud Stream - Rabbit MQ/ Apache Kafka.

•                 Strong experience building dynamic batch jobs using Spring Cloud Task & Integration with Spring Batch

•                 Proven Ability to Orchestrate & Deploy the Data Pipelines in Spring Cloud Data Flow Server.

•                 Ensures quality in all deliverables by having development teams follow best practices including structured, and well-documented code, complete unit, functional and integration testing, and code that meets architectural guidelines and business requirements

•                 Serves as a technical leader within an Agile team & partner with systems analysts, architects delivering new capabilities for existing and emerging products

Skills required:

•                 Core Java 1.8

•                 Spring

•                 Spring Boot

•                 Sprint Batch

•                 Spring Cloud Dataflow (Experience in PCF is a great plus)

•                 Java-pattern web services API (REST, SOAP).

•                 Relational databases like Oracle, AWS RDS, Postgres or no-SQL databases such as MongoDB, Redis.

•                 Junit 5, Mockito

•                 DevOps - GIT, Maven/Gradle, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Sonar

•                 JIRA, Confluence

•                 Rabbit MQ, Kafka or similar

Process Skills:

•                 Solid understanding of Agile systems development techniques utilizing Continuous Integration (CI)/Continuous Deployment (CD) and DevOps

•                 Good experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM, Extreme Programming, TDD etc.

•                 Behavioral Skills:

•                 Team player rather than an individual contributor

•                 At least 2 years of team leading experience including.

·         lead a team of 4 - 10 resources at offshore

·         able to work directly with customer stakeholders

·         able to communicate clearly in oral and writing

·         identify risks, plan mitigation

·         escalate on time to customers and leaders

·         good in prioritizing work and time management

·         able to delegate work and get done with quality

·         good problem-solving skills, able to think out of the box
