Job Description:
· 5+ years of PowerBuilder application experience using Sybase PB Enterprise 10, 11, 12, including creating builds.
· Must be able to support all aspects of a projects development lifecycle.
· Participate in specification, design, implementation, documentation, code reviews and testing for new projects/enhancements.
· Must have a strong background in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques; service oriented architecture (SOA), analysis, design, and unit testing.
· Knowledge in development tools such as Sybase SQL Anywhere 10+, Visual Expert, Serena Source Save (PVCS), InstallShield is desired.
· Knowledge of VB.Net using Visual Studio 2005/2008/2010 and Visual Basic 6.0 is a plus but not necessary.
· Proficient use of the PowerBuilder IDE debugger to troubleshoot and fix errors is a must.
· Have the ability to examine and quickly learn existing business logic and processes.
· Excellent analytical, problem solving, and code-reading skills.
· Excellent communication skills both verbally and in written form.
· Must be a self-starting team player, and have the ability to perform well in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
