Title: Network Engineer
Location: Washington DC
Type: Contract to Hire
Roles and Responsibilities:
� Provide operations, user and system troubleshooting for systems supporting 150 users in a Windows 2003 Active Directory and Windows XP environment.
� Provide status metrics to Government customer and Client management.
� Provide third-level support and troubleshooting of network problems.
� Periodically provide after-hours and weekend support.
� Maintain and extend expertise in applicable areas of network and computer hardware and software technology.
Education: Minimum High School Diploma required
Qualifications:
� 4-6 years experience in a classified environment performing system administration, support and troubleshooting activities with at least one year experience in a medium to large scale environment.
� 4-6 years of network engineering experience
� 4-6 years of experience with Cisco networks
� Knowledge of Local Area Network technologies such as Ethernet, wireless LAN as well as the physical media and equipment associated with each
� Knowledge of Windows 2000/2003 Server and Windows XP Pro.
� Experience with one or more of the following tools: Remedy, HP Openview, Tivoli Netview, Microsoft Operations Manager, Veritas backup, Altiris/LanDesk
� Position requires a current TS/SCI Clearance
� SharePoint experience and expertise
� RetrievalWare experience
� Juniper experience
