Background CeSHHAR Zimbabwe is an organization that specializes in sexual health, HIV and AIDS research in Zimbabwe. The organization is implementing a National Sex Work Programme behalf of collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Child Care and the National AIDS Council with the aim of reducing HIV acquisition and transmission among female, male and transgender sex workers thereby reducing HIV transmission and acquisition to and from their clients. Low consistent condom use, risk of drug use and increasing transactional sex are some of the common reasons that put these key populations at risk of acquiring STI and HIV infection. Therefore, reaching these populations and increasing awareness and access to STI & HIV prevention, testing and treatment services are fundamental to reducing transmission of STI and HIV infections.
Objectives To improve access to HIV/STI prevention and treatment services among key populations; To reduce barriers to care among sex workers within the public sector and expand service delivery for sex workers nationally
Scope of work Under the overall supervision of the Programme Coordinator, and under direct supervision of the Clinic Managers, the Nurses will be responsible for the following tasks: Performing routine physical examinations on all clients i.e. temp, B/P, pulse and routine vaginal examination on all women; Providing treatment and care for sexually transmitted infections and other reproductive health concerns according to National Guidelines; Performing rapid syphilis testing; Prescribing and dispensing of drugs; Performing Rapid HIV testing in accordance with the National HIV Testing Algorithm and providing pre and post-test counselling; Providing appropriate supportive counselling, referrals and follow up; Offering family planning and counselling services; Maintaining proper documentation of all clinical and laboratory procedures on all programme clients; Updating and maintaining of clinical records; Ordering drugs clinic sundries at clinic level; Compiling of weekly, monthly and quarterly statistics and clinic reports; Scheduling of mobile clinic visits; Performing other duties as assigned by the programme coordinator
Required Qualifications Diploma /degree in General Nursing. Post basic training is an added advantage; Certificate in Rapid HIV testing; Forensic certificate; Experience with key populations
Other Requirements Good interpersonal communication skills and having high respect for confidentiality; Expected to work outside of normal office hours when required.

ZAKIS Project Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Action) PVO 21/2003 is leading a consortium of NGOs to support the Zimbabwe Ministry of Agriculture’s Departments of Research, Education and Extension in its Agriculture Knowledge and Innovations System Project funded by the EU under the Zimbabwe Agricultural Growth Programme. The ZAKIS Project is a 52-month project running which started in August 2018 and runs to January 2023. The project is delivered by a consortium including Welthungerhilfe (Consortium Lead), SNV, ICRISAT, CTDO and SAT.
The Project focuses on Zimbabwe’s Agriculture Knowledge and Innovation Services (AKIS) – how Agricultural Research, Education and Extension work together to improve farmer income and an enabling environment for investment in agriculture. The project seeks to create an inclusive AKIS - meeting the needs of Zimbabwean farmers while engaging the Private Sector. The primary target of the project is Government – specifically the Departments of Research and Specialist Services (DR&SS), the Department of Agriculture Education and Farmer Training (DAEFT) and the Department of Agricultural Extension (AGRITEX) within the Ministry of Ministry of Lands, Agriculture, Water, Climate and Rural Resettlement in Zimbabwe. All components of the project are achieved through building capacity of government to deliver or oversee the delivery of services.
The central concept of the project is the creation of two Agricultural Centres of Excellence which showcase agriculture research, education and extension working together, whilst engaging the private sector for the benefit of farmers along selected value chains. A second concept is the creation of a virtual centre of excellence which showcases the work of the two ACEs as well as other agriculture best practice in Zimbabwe and the region on a digital platform accessible to everyone via computer and smartphone.
a) Coordinate the ZAKIS Project Implementation Co-ordinate technical, financial and administrative aspects of the ZAKIS Project Implementation activities; Monitor the project operational activities and provide feed-back to the ZAKIS Project Steering Committee; Follow-up on the project monitoring system in close cooperation with the monitoring and evaluation officer; Regularly monitor the execution of Project Implementation related activities and results, provide feed-back to the ZAKIS Project Steering Committee and other project stakeholders; Compile and document relevant ZAKIS Project information for collaborative activities and missions; Design implement, and document meetings, workshops, seminars and other events related to the project’s field of activities; Support short-term consultants and experts of the project to fulfil their tasks during their assignment
b) Oversee to the ZAKIS project’s strategic development Provide technical advice on Project Implementation to the Project Staff, Partner staff and Government stakeholders; Keep informed about topics and developments related to the project’s activities (e.g. through evaluation of the press, direct dialog, forum participation, public hearings, seminars); Develop and organize quality assurance; Participate in identifying needs for external support and advice; Propose new initiatives/ improvements, make policy and strategic recommendations; Monitor the ZAKIS Project progress and provide feed-back to the Management, with the support of and in close cooperation with the monitoring Team.
c) Plan ZAKIS Project Implementation related project activities and ensure knowledge transfer Coordinate the planning of project activities within the defined area; Develop project designs, including the preparation, organization and moderation of planning exercises; Formulate project action plans and synchronise between the planning and budgeting system; Develop technical concepts, guidelines, manuals, and procedures, which are ready to be applied; Prepare inputs to project/program reports and publications for all required reports; Support research and study activities
d) Cooperate with relevant stakeholders Develop and maintain contacts with all relevant stakeholders - Specifically the target Government departments (DR&SS, DAEFT, AGRITEX), other relevant departments (DVS, Irrigation and Mechanisation, Economics and Markets, TVET), with other ZAGP actors (EU, TA, VC, AH&FS project), other large agriculture related projects (LFSP, ZRBF, AMALIMA, ENSURE etc. as well as other relevant organisations; Cooperate with government institutions, non-government organisations, and the local community; Represent the project/program; Act as liaison to and cooperate with other WHH projects in the region; Collect and circulate relevant information, disseminate project experiences

Integrated Poultry Value Chain Project
Welthungerhilfe (German Agro Action) PVO 21/2003 is working with a consortium of NGOs to support the transformation of the Poultry Value Chain in Zimbabwe in a Project funded by the EU under the Zimbabwe Agricultural Growth Programme. The IPVC Project is a 36-month project which started in February 2019 and runs to January 2022. The project is delivered by a consortium including COSPE (Consortium Lead), CNFA, SAT and LMAC
Reporting to the Head of Project, the main function of the position is to oversee and coordinate the successful implementation of the Inclusive Poultry Value Chain (IPVC) Development Project activities in the Gweru, Masvingo and Bulawayo cluster.
The main duties include: Ensure programme is implemented according to the project document, Welthungerhilfe guidelines and policy standards within agreed timelines; Ensure the necessary support functions are running effectively to support the achievement of the delivery of the IPVC project; Facilitate poultry value chain mapping within target districts; Identify Poultry value chain constraints preventing efficient and widespread marketing of commodities; Develop market strategies for the value chains; Follow-up on the project/program area monitoring system in close cooperation with the monitoring team; Monitor the execution of Project Implementation related activities and results, provide feed-back to the Management and district team leaders; Support business model development and innovation for the district and provincial level actors, through the allocation of project resources; Compile and document relevant information for collaborative activities and missions; Design implement, and document meetings, workshops, seminars and other events related to the program’s/project’s field of activities; Support short-term consultants and experts of the project/program to fulfil their tasks during their assignment; Provide technical advice on project implementation to project management, support teams, consortium members and wider counterparts; Develop and maintain contacts with all relevant stakeholders including government institutions, non-government organisations, and the local community; Collect and circulate relevant information, disseminate project experiences and ensure knowledge transfer

The duties of the advisor will include: Oversee the implementation of all project’s activities including establishment, strengthening and scaling up cattle business centres; Communicate, coordinate and work closely with other specialists and facilitate mutually beneficial relationships among stakeholders; Provide production related information; provision of on-going technical support to field staff on Good Animal Husbandry Practice, natural resource management and poultry value chain development; Facilitate linkages, work closely with key poultry value chain input service providers and major PSP (drugs/chemicals, supplementary stock feed, seed, fertilizers), integrators and off-takers; Provide market information and intelligence, training to develop their skills and change of farmer attitude /mind-set from subsistence cattle keepers to sustainable cattle producers to meet market demand (farming as a business).
