Application Deadline May 1st 2019 Next Generation Gender, Peace & Security Symposium

WIIS is pleased to extend a call for applications for our 2019 Next Generation Gender, Peace and Security Symposium. We invite you to apply and/or distribute this call to your networks and contacts doing work at the nexus of gender and security issues.  The symposium is geared towards graduate students (MA and PhD students) and young professionals from around the world. This year, we will examine gender and global dynamics in the international system, including great power competition and nuclear security. The symposium is scheduled to take place November 10-15, 2019 in Washington, D.C. The symposium is a part of a larger WIIS initiative to bridge existing divides between the traditional security community and the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) community. The initiative seeks to advance knowledge and support a community of international security experts that is more diverse and knowledgeable about gender dynamics of complex international security challenges.
