The American University of Ras al Khaimah offers students of the United Arab Emirates and the greater geographic region from Pakistan and India in the East to the nations of Africa top quality higher education in a top of the Emirates location. Students earning their four year American degrees meander through shaded gardens between classes and there is always a moment to look up to the amethyst mountains of the Jabal Hajar in the distance with an appreciation and respect for their rugged resilience. The university offers undergraduate and graduate programs in the Schools of Arts & Science, Business, Engineering and Graduate Studies & Research; each program offers multiple concentrations. Sports facilities include a new gym, grass soccer field and a cricket field. Students live in new furnished on-campus residence halls and relax in a new state-of-the-art Student Center. The University was established by Royal Degree in April 2009 by His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qassimi, Ruler of the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah. His Highness is the Chancellor of the University و Prof. Hassan Hamdan Al Alkim is the President of the University.
