Do we have access to curl from inside the jenkins job dsl?

I want to make a curl/rest call to an api from inside the job dsl. Is there a native function for that? I need to call the bitbucket api directly because there is some config the bitbucket branch source plugin can't accomplish.

I want to make an authenticated http request which means I need to access credentials, but havent figured out how to access a cred store outside of a job.
