Job Summary
Client is seeking a Senior VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) Architect with extensive experience in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), NSX-T, vSAN Lifecycle Manager (vLCM), VMware Live Recovery (VLR), vRealize Operations (vROps), and VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC AWS). The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage secure, highly available Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) platforms supporting mission-critical banking applications and regulated environments.

Roles & Responsibilities
VMware Cloud Foundation
- Lead the architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) environments.
- Design highly available and resilient Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) platforms.
- Support mission-critical banking applications and high-transaction workloads.
NSX-T & Network Virtualization
- Design and implement NSX-T networking solutions.
- Configure micro-segmentation and Zero Trust security.
- Manage routing, distributed firewall (DFW), load balancing, and federation.
- Ensure compliance with banking security standards.
Lifecycle & Recovery Management
- Manage vSAN Lifecycle Manager (vLCM) for patching, firmware, and compliance.
- Design and administer VMware Live Recovery (VLR), SRM, and Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS).
- Plan and execute replication, failover, failback, and disaster recovery testing.
- Ensure RPO/RTO compliance for business-critical applications.
Cloud Operations
- Deploy and manage VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC AWS).
- Configure SDDC environments and hybrid cloud integration.
- Support on-premises and cloud infrastructure connectivity.
Monitoring & Automation
- Build and optimize vRealize Operations (vROps) dashboards.
- Perform capacity planning, SLA monitoring, anomaly detection, and performance reporting.
- Automate infrastructure using PowerCLI, Python, Ansible, and Terraform.
- Improve operational efficiency through automation.
Security & Compliance
- Ensure infrastructure complies with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to implement segmentation, encryption, and threat mitigation.
- Participate in architecture reviews, risk assessments, and change management.
- Create documentation, operational procedures, and disaster recovery runbooks.
Leadership
- Serve as the senior escalation point for complex infrastructure issues.
- Mentor engineering teams.
- Guide best practices for secure and compliant cloud operations.
Required Experience
- 10+ years of VMware virtualization experience.
- Extensive experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF).
- Strong expertise in NSX-T, vLCM, VMware Live Recovery, and vROps.
- Experience with VMware Cloud on AWS (VMC AWS).
- Strong knowledge of:
- vSphere

- Experience supporting regulated financial or banking environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
