The client is looking for an Onsite Technical Lead with 8+ years of experience in integration and application development who can lead both technical design and development while coordinating with onshore business stakeholders and offshore development teams. The ideal candidate must have strong hands-on experience with API Development, Microservices Architecture, Apigee (API Management), Kafka (Event Streaming), Cloud Platforms, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Agile/Scrum, and DevOps. They should have technical lead experience on at least 2 system integration or application modernization projects, be comfortable with code reviews, solution design, API governance, performance optimization, and production support, and must be willing to work 100% onsite in Benton Harbor, MI during EST business hours.

 

Role: Onsite Technical Lead

Location: Benton Harbor, Michigan. 49022 (must be on-site (100% on-site)

Duration: 18 months

 

Key Responsibilities

· Lead hands-on integration development across APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.

· Provide technical guidance, solutioning inputs, and design oversight aligned to enterprise architecture.

· Ensure quality through code reviews, performance tuning, and adherence to API standards.

· Act as the primary interface for business stakeholders and support backlog prioritization and sprint planning.

· Drive Agile delivery using Scrum and DevOps practices with continuous improvement.

· Ensure adherence to API governance, lifecycle management, and security standards.

· Lead and mentor offshore teams and foster cross-functional collaboration.

· Oversee incident resolution, monitoring, and continuous optimization.

 

Required Skills & Experience

· Strong expertise in API development and microservices architecture.

· Expertise with API management platforms (Apigee) and event streaming (Kafka).

· Hands-on experience with cloud platforms, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code.

· Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and DevOps methodologies.

· 8+ years of experience in integration and application development · Must have led (Technical Lead) at least 2 system integration and modernization (development) project · Experience in leading distributed onshore-offshore teams.

· Sprint velocity and delivery throughput.

· Defect leakage and production stability.

· SLA adherence for incidents and service requests.

· Platform performance and scalability.

 

Work Model

· Onsite (USA) role aligned to business hours (8 AM – 4 PM EST).

· Close collaboration with offshore delivery teams and stakeholders.
