Need VB.NET Full Stack Developer (with Windows Application & AWS Cloud)

 

Role: Lead Full Stack Engineer (VB.NET, Windows Application & Cloud)

Location: Newark, NJ (Onsite)
Job Type: Contract (6 Months)
Business Vertical: BFSI (Insurance)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Lead Full Stack Engineer with strong expertise in VB.NET, .NET Core, Windows Applications, Cloud Technologies, and AWS. The ideal candidate should have experience modernizing legacy applications, developing RESTful APIs, integrating AWS services, implementing Kafka messaging, ETL pipelines, and working in enterprise banking/insurance environments. Previous experience with Prudential is highly preferred.

 

Must Have Skills

  • Strong understanding of VB.NET to analyze and enhance existing legacy applications.
  • Hands-on experience with .NET Core development.
  • Experience building RESTful Web APIs using .NET Core.
  • AWS development experience using:
    • EC2
    • Lambda
    • API Gateway
    • AWS SDK
    • Secrets Manager
  • Experience implementing Kafka Producers and Consumers.
  • Knowledge of Autosys job scheduling.
  • Experience with Python scripting for automation and ETL.
  • Experience creating and managing Apache Airflow jobs.
  • Understanding of MPI Stylus Framework and implementation of use cases.
  • Experience with Windows Application Development.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Previous experience working with Prudential (Retirement, PGIM, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Prudential's:
    • CI/CD standards
    • Change Management Process
    • Release Guidelines
  • Experience in Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Understand and maintain existing VB.NET applications.
  • Design and develop applications using .NET Core.
  • Develop and integrate RESTful APIs with AWS cloud services.
  • Implement and manage Kafka-based messaging solutions.
  • Create and maintain Autosys scheduling jobs.
  • Develop Python-based ETL scripts and manage Airflow workflows.
  • Build and implement use cases using the MPI Stylus Framework.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams following enterprise CI/CD and release processes.
  • Participate in application modernization and cloud migration initiatives.
