I would like to be able to detect button presses on my Jabra BlueTooth speaker phone. I've installed AutoVoice (Free), but I don't find the "AutoVoice BT Pressed" action under Plugin. I see AutoVoice Recognize, Continuous and five others, but no BT Pressed.

Is there a setting or something I missed?

Thanks!

That's a Tasker condition. :) Look there.

Hmm. Still not getting it.

I'm in Tasker, on the Tasks tab. I select my task and I'm on the Task Edit screen. Now, I hit the "+".

Which Action Category? And then what Action?

I feel like I'm missing something really simple, here.

Don't worry! :D

You shouldn't be in the Tasks tab, you should be in the Profiles tab. Then hit the plus button->State->Plugin->AutoVoice BT Pressed

Hope this helps.

Ah! Now I see it. Unfortunately, a little testing now shows it doesn't pick up the buttons on my Jabra speakerphone.

Oh, well, thanks for your help!

Good morning..

Figured I'd latch onto this existing versus starting a new one.

I'm looking to do something that I figure would be fairly simple.

Long press a button on my Voyager Legend, and have the phone respond by launching the Google Now command. (extra note: I want it to wake (and even unlock) the phone when it's sleeping in my pocket... -Whats the point of handsfree when you still need to wake up the unit manually??)

I initially tried a combination of SkipLock, AutoVoice Pro, and xPosed with Google API module. After disabling my VoiceDialer, I seemed to get things working without Tasker even being involved. I was able to leave my phone in my pocket, long press, hear a couple beeps, then heave Google Now kick in, make my request, and hear an audio response.. Everything worked.

Then it seemed to just stop on its own.

I engaged Tasker at the point (I'll admit to quickly getting frustrated trying to teach myself how this works.. I have learning disabilities that make the mathematical structure of Tasker difficult to grasp), trying to create a profile and task that would allow a BT Headset press to launch AutoVoice (I think I'm not using these correctly), but AV doesn't seem to be able to launch or activate Google Now.

Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

You can launch Google now with AutoShare. :)
Just install it (full version needed) then navigate to the Google Now Voice Search intent on your phone here: http://joaoapps.com/autoshare/intents/

AutoShare will import the intent and then you can use it with the AutoShare Tasker action.

Hope this helps.

Good morning!

Thanks for your prompt response! I downloaded and purchased the pro keys for Autoshare. I tried to set it up but I'm still having some issues. Again, as I stated I find Tasker to be a tad confusing for people like myself with some learning disabilities.

I went to your page on Google Play and watched the video on AutoShare. It shows how to set this up but then only creates text output on the screen.

All I want to do is to be able to press the button on my bluetooth headset when my phone is sleeping, locked in my pocket, and have it enable Google now to listen to my voice and then to provide an audio response, so I never have to look at my phone for the answer.. is this possible?

Thanks again for your patience with me.

Hi, no problem :)

Yes, just use the Google Now Voice Search intent and not the text search intent. You'll be able to speak to it and get a spoken response back. AutoVoice is not needed in this situation.

Hope this helps.

I'll play with it a bit more I guess.. Do I still need to use Tasker at all, or can I just use the App

Thankya again!

Your reputation of nice-ness sure preceeds itself! You're super helpful!

Yes, you still need Tasker to launch the Google Now Voice Search intent  :)

You're welcome!

Hi, I have a Sony Ericsson MW600 Bluetooth headset. Autovoice recognizes the call button on my headset but not the other buttons (based on the logs) I want to use "AutoVoice BT Pressed" condition on it without prompting the voice recognition popup. Is this possible? Thanks.
