I have been looking everywhere for this and have not found the answer yet. I would like to be able to start Google now with a text(voice) query. So if I have a tasker variable %query = call , Google now would start with that query. I have downloaded the auto share intent for Google now, but this will just start Google now (I think)

I have found a intent that will start Google search with a query but that will not yield the same results as actually "saying" "call" in Google now. Here is the tasker intent.

Www (588)
A1: [X] Send Intent [ Action:com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox.GOOGLE_SEARCH Cat:Default Mime Type: Data: Extra:type:Voice Extra:query:Ok Google call Package: Class: Target:Activity Continue Task After Error:On ]

Any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thanks, Rich..

Arrg.... I must have had a typo when I searched this group before. I found this and assume it is still true.

Sorry, but unfortunately I don't think this is possible, because it's different to share text into Google Search and directly do a voice command there.
Because you're sharing text Google Search assumes you are writing it and assumes you can confirm the alarm.

I tried the 'say' action work around. But the most important thing I would like to say is "call" and it would seem Google now has a hard time understanding Google stock speech engine. Somehow I do not find that hard to believe :( I tried different pitch and speed but it only got worse.. )

Can you try Tasker URL action with "https://www.google.com/#q=%query

%query also can be %VOICE of a GET VOICE command.

Sunil.
