Hi

I am aware about displaying a Message in EventGhost with a AutoRemote Message Event with AutoApp Command System. If a message send with =:=, I am aware that Left part is 'arpar' and Right part is 'arcomm' & this way with can show it in EVENTGHOST.

However, My issue is, I don't want to use =:= in message and still want to show exact message text as it is in EventGhost

Also, There is seems a bug in AutoRemote as follows:

If EventGhost is active on a PC & a AutoRemote Message send from PC's Windows app to Device, Return message from Device to "LAST SENDER" is getting capture in "EVENTGOST" and not by "Windows APP" . Joao to look into this.

Sorry, I don't understand your issue. Why can't you use =:= and why can't you show the message in EventGhost?

Joao

I am sending a Message Back to “Last Sender”. This Message is nothing but just a confirmation about Required Tasks has been successfully executed & therefore I am not using =:= within it.

As I mentioned earlier If EventGhost is active on a PC & a AutoRemote Message send from PC's Windows app to Device, Return message from Device to "LAST SENDER" is getting capture in "EVENTGOST" and not by "Windows APP"

I just want to show OSD in EVENTGHOST with message as received, however in message there is no =:= anywhere.

How to achieve this??

Thanks,

Sunil

If some message comes from phone and U want only the right part of the message(=:= <----) appears you just have to do Display OSD on EG and put this on the message field: {eg.event.payload.arcomm} or with "()" :)

Sunil, are you using the same ID for both EventGhost and Windows App? Also, please don't use the windows app. EventGhost is much better in all aspects. :)

To show the OSD with the whole message in EG, use {eg.event.payload.armessage}.

I am using completely different IDs for both. I agree with you, EventGhost is quite powerful. I am using Windows APP to send few message to device & most importantly I am also using command line EXE (You only guided me to it couple of weeks back). It’s quite easy and I can do it in Batch.

Also, I really don’t know how to send message from EventGhost to Device.

Thanks,

To send a message from EG to device, just add an AutoRemote "Send Message" action. Check out the tutorial here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KX5kowMaCeA
